Two Midwesterners living in the Pacific Northwest – that’s us. Married for four decades, we’ve traveled around the world together and never tire of each other’s company. Our kids are grown and live nearby but our travel companions are two Labradoodles, fondly known as the Double Trouble Doodles.
Why Point Me Home Sweet Home? Let’s break it down… Point Me: on the road and in the direction of adventures! Let’s follow the compass and just see where it leads. Four years ago, we bought a travel trailer and embarked on camping together. We were newbies but we’ve learned so much about the RV community, travel trailers, and the PNW.
Home Sweet Home: when we’re not on the road, we’re home. After living in eight states and two countries and changing our address at least 20 times, we found ourselves in the Columbia River Gorge. It’s a gorgeous (pun intended) area that straddles the border of Washington and Oregon. We built our forever home and we share that endeavor, plus more about creating a place that we always want to come home to.

We’re Willie and Julie Williamson. Two Midwesterners living in the Pacific Northwest. When we’re on the road, we’re camping in our Winnebago Voyage travel trailer, visiting family and cheering on the Green Bay Packers in Wisconsin, riding our e-bikes and making memories.
Fifteen years ago, Willie retired from serving our nation as a Navy helicopter pilot. Twelve years ago, we moved to the stunning Columbia River Gorge with our family. Ten years ago, we built our dream home in a sweet little town in Washington. Four years ago, we decided to buy a travel trailer and embark on adventures throughout the Pacific Northwest. Together, we’ll share our experiences as a military family that has finally put down roots in our forever home, and as Midwesterners that are embracing our new adventures in the PNW. Oh, and we have two sweet Labradoodles as our constant companions. Join us for the ride, won’t you?
